About this recording
Are you an attorney who believes in creating more accessible, community-rooted paths into the legal profession? Join us as Esq. Apprentice Founder & Managing Director Rachel Johnson-Farias leads an informal Q&A event designed for attorneys interested in learning how to supervise aspiring legal professionals through California’s Law Office Study Program (LOSP). This recording is a space to explore what supervision looks like in practice, and hear firsthand how attorneys like you are shaping the next generation of community-grounded legal advocates. As Tony Morrison reminds us, “if you are free, you need to free somebody else. During law school, Rachel received the Francine Diaz Memorial Award for her commitment to social justice through legal services and advocacy. After completing her legal education, Rachel was awarded an Equal Justice Works Fellowship to implement the Starting Over Strong (SOS) program at the East Bay Community Law Center; a juvenile reentry program for young people seeking to seal their juvenile records. Rachel’s prior experience in working with low-income clients and dedication to empowering youth led her to create Esq.
